NIGERIAN SENATE DEMANDS JAMB APPLICATION FORM BE REDUCED BY 50%

The Nigerian Members of the House of Representatives have demanded that the Federal Ministry of Education cut the cost of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) application forms by 50%. Which inturns means, they have demanded that form be sold at Candidates for 3,000 instead of 6,000 naira.

Similarly the House members equally asked the Federal Ministry of Education to equally ensure that the cost of other serviceslike charges which include but not limited to Change of Course and institution form be either completely free and offered at no cost or be reduced to at least N500.

According to James Faleke (APC, Lagos)  who proposed the motion, JAMB has become a profit making venture to the detriment of educational and social development of the country "he said".

He reminded the members of the house that JAMB as a government agency is not set up for profit making but to promote educational development of the young citizens in pursuit of their professional careers.

At the end, the house mandated its committee on basic education to ensure compliance and report back in two weeks.

So Dear public, what do you think of this?
