JAMB 2018 : SEE HOW TO CHANGE YOUR INSTITUTION AND BIO-DATA

This is to notify our Dear Users that the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board [JAMB] have announced the sale of form for changing of institution and correction of data. Interested candidates may now change their institution to their school of choice.

The changing of institution would be done strictly online and interested candidates are advised to follow the below instructions carefully.

• The process cost 2,500

•All candidates who wish to do so can proceed to effect the 

changes at the nearest cbt centre located around them or JAMB Businesses Offices.

•Candidates can confirm their data, which include: name, courses, institutions, profile, and lots more.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

Before you proceed to do that, please make sure you do the following;

-Be sure of the Course/Institution you would like to make changes and ensure that the institution you'd be changing to have the courses you intended, you can be sure of this by requesting for JAMB brochure from our team. In fact you need to be sure of this because once this is done, you cannot change back later.

-Ensure and verify that the school you are changing to does not usually have a cut off mark higher than your score, so you don't sit out your Screening and admission when it is out.

- Ensure you select a Course/Institution that is in line with your subject combination to avoid being screened out during your school's admission screening exercise, you can also verify this using the brochure.

After all these have been verified and implemented, you may now proceed and follow the below process to effect the changes:

STEPS TO FOLLOW

Step 1- Log into your jamb profile

Step 2- open the menu tab on your jamb profile

Step 3- Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data

Step 4- Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank. You can make your payment online via JAMB portal. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.

 Step 6- After paying N2500 at the bank plus additional bank charge of N100 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.

Note: You can carry out all of the above process at an accredited centre. you're advised strictly from doing this on mobile. Because you can't even complete the process as there'd be need for thumbprinting.

Also note the following;

- You can change one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.

- Once the form is submitted, you can no longer make any changes again except for change of course and institution that can be done twice, please note this part it is very important.

 -There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have 3 or 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.

- The cost for the change of course and Data correction is N2,500 payable online or banks.

- You can use the one time payment of N2,500 to change your institution, course, name, date of birth, State and Local Government of origin.

- if you will need to change your institution again probably you changed your decision, you'd still be required to pay another N2,500 so be sure of the above instructions before you take steps.
