WHAT NEXT AFTER JAMB-UTME?
Sooner, schools will start announcing the sale of their post UTME form, it is important for aspirants/candidates to know and understand what to expect when their school of choice release its screening or post UTME Examination form.
The post-utme screening co-ordination is the most used method adopted by many institution to ensure that admission is awarded to qualified candidates, this may be in form of Examination or Physical Screening, Online Screening or Aptitude Test.
However some schools may used any of these three method that is listed above, some may use two and some may use all of it, nonetheless, most schools use the Aptitude Test method to select the qualified students for admission. I'll explain this further to you.
in physical Screening candidates shall be required to go for oral interview with their documents [Mostly O-level and Jamb Results] to their school of choice for assessment.
in this case, candidates are then advised to behave diligently and dress decently in a formal setting as this would be one of the criteria for selecting the best, also, candidates should be able to apply terminologies and idea in solving whatever question thrown at them by the reviewer or Examiner. Note that this type of Screening is usually uncommon, maybe 5% over 100% of all schools will adopt this format.
The schools shall ask all their aspirants to upload their results and document online on their school portal, then the school will screen all candidates base on their results as well as the validity of other documents that the aspirants have submitted to award admission.
The documents you may need to upload include;
O’level result (WAEC, NECO or GCE) JAMB result(original) Birth certificate Certificate of State/LG of origin JAMB Direct Entry Registration slip(For Direct Entry candidates) PassportJamb details(such as Registration number, subject combination etc)
•APTITUDE TEST
This is usually the most common amongst schools. Here candidates will take an aptitude test as a form of screening. This is in form of an examination. it could be CBT or PPT. Many schools (if not all) now use this method to screen candidates. In this case, candidates are advised to get the Post-UTME Past questions of their school of choices in order to prepare adequately for the aptitude test Screening. This method is usually adopted by 80% of all schools.
